School of Beadwork has crafted unique experiences along natural wonders as the backdrop for beadworkers to enjoy truly invigorating surroundings, compelling retreats and workshops. These events feature beadwork designs and instruction from some of the foremost renowned beading instructors.

Each beadwork retreat showcases the work of nationally and internationally acclaimed beadwork artists and instructors. You'll have an opportunity to learn designs and techniques that are beautiful showpieces for years to come - whether in the form of wearable art or three-dimensional sculpture.

Designs are appropriate for a range of skill levels from beginner to advanced. School of Beadwork also provides assistance to students prior to an event wanting to learn more about techniques related to designs taught at the events.

Beads, Beads, Beads! Along with providing students a beautiful event with compelling beadwork in each workshop, School of Beadwork provides an on-site bead shop at each retreat to meet all your beading needs. The beads and supplies collection is specifically acquired and brought on-site with the Supply List in mind. You'll find a wide assortment of seed beads, embellishment beads and supplies such as threads and notions.

The sea is an irresistible venue to explore creativity. By The Bead Blue Sea is set along the epic California central coastline in Avila Beach. This sea side community is teeming with interesting shops, restaurants, sites and sounds. Nearby are interesting locations to visit all along the central coast. To the north are vineyards, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Hearst Castle, Ragged Point, Cambria and Big Sur. To the south is Solvang, the Danish community, and Santa Barbara.
