The chevron chain stitch is fascinating. By changing the counts of either the edge sets, the interior legs or the connector beads, the shape of the work will vary. Sea Pods is a necklace that plays with these concepts. Each pod is a different shape - a delicate open weave form made up of 15/0 seed beads and Swarovski crystals. The necklace is sections of vertical netting that is linked through crystals and peyote stitched tubes.
Skill Level: Prior knowledge of chevron chain is necessary for this piece. Although new techniques are covered in the pattern, they are easily learned from clear and concise instructions.
