The inspiration for this piece came from the BBC miniseries House of Elliot set in the post WWI time period with gorgeous period wardrobes. Common in the 1920’s era were long svelte necklaces and Swinging Starlets has its genesis from examples in this bygone era. Small bezeled stars arrayed on a fine beaded chain create a long luxurious necklace suggestive of the 1920’s. This flowing necklace ends with a fringed tassel that adds oscillating swing to this piece. This piece uses Japanese seed beads in sizes 15/0, 11/0, and 8/0. It also uses magatama drop beads and 6mm Swarovski crystallized stones.
